From our inception, our aim has been to promote high standards within the security sector and to provide recognition for those who achieve these standards.
Our aim is to provide a comprehensive
range of approval and certification service for all
security services providers and we will continue to develop
our scope
of accreditation in line with the needs of existing approved
and certificated providers, at all times anticipating changes
in the direction
of the market.
The implementation of the Private Security Services
Act 2004, through the auspices of the Private Security Authority
(PSA) will have a significant impact on all security service
providers as it is progressively enforced through 2006. SSAIB
approval certification is acceptable to the PSA as evidence
of compliance with relevant standards. We are already in a
position to help security services providers meet their obligations
under the PSA licensing scheme and would welcome enquiries from
organizations needing to comply with these requirements.
SSAIB’s approach is inclusive
of small and larger providers alike. We offer guidance and encouragement
to approved and certificated firms and to firms considering approval
or certification. Our remit is to ensure high standards
of service and business ethics within the community of security
and guarding service providers in the interest of end
users.
